Karen, This is a thought provoking article. I can think of a few one sided friendships I have, which still bring me satisfaction, but not in the usual way. I have some friends who are struggling, whether by their own choices or from living in a fallen world. I meet with them, listen to them, sprinkle encouragement (light on the preaching) and pray for them when we're apart. The satisfaction comes from knowing God placed them in my life and wants me to pour into their lives. I leave the results squarely in His hands.
